Cub scouts had a fantastic time camping at Heard Scout Pueblo January 6-8th. Fun filled day of adventures from RainGutter Regatta races between the Navy and the Pirates, to capture the flag, to hiking along South Mountain. Of course don’t forget the overnight camping complete with den fires and open fire cooked meals (with S’mores for dessert of course). The boys finished up their Saturday with some excellent skits done by each den, and some laughs from the leader skits as well. Weather was fantastic, who could have asked for more? Attn all : The dates for Scouting for Food has been changed! We will now be meeting at
La Casa de Cristo Cashman Park at 8am on January 28th to drop off the bags in the neighborhood, and 8am on February 4th to pick food up. We understand that this conflicts with several other scouting activities happening on the same dates, but request each scout make one weekend or the other if at all possible. Always loads of fun and a great service project for the scouts each year, all while being a great cause for our community.
With the holidays just around the corner, we wanted to remind everyone to set their calendars for December 16th from 6:30 to 8:00. We will hold our annual sleigh races where the scouts show off their style and skills as they compete for the best time down the course. This is great fun for all and open to all scouts and their families. Remember to bring lawn chairs and blankets, and come enjoy the fun! See you all there
Sleigh Races will be held at Desert Horizon Park (16002 N 56th St, Scottsdale, Arizona 85254) from 6:30pm to 8:00pm.
Don’t forget, this upcoming Friday November 11th is the Challenger Space Center pack meeting. Join us for a night of fun and learning as the scouts learn about our stars. Admission is free for the scout and 1 adult. Additional family members are welcome to join, but please note that there is a $7 fee for additional members. Plan on meeting the scouts at 6:30 at the entrance. Hope to see you all there!
Pack 316 was recognized at District Roundtable last night for leading the District in recruiting new Scouts. Here we are holding the grand prize: a free Pinewood Derby car kit for every new Scout! Congrats to our leaders and recruiting friends on a spectacular job!
Mark your calendars; Pack 316’s Winter Campout is a go! We’re heading to Heard Scout Pueblo January 6-8, 2017 for a weekend of fun. Don’t miss it!
Reminder that game night is coming up on October 28th. Dens will be setting up fun games for all to enjoy. Come one, come all to night full of fun!
